Brian Solomon assumed his post as head coach of the Montana Tech volleyball team in February 2012 and since moldedĀ the Orediggers into one of the most successful programs in the NAIA.

In his tenure, Solomon has mentored six All-Americans, 49 All-Frontier Conference selections, and two conference players of the year. He has thrice earned the Frontier’s coach of the year honor and led Montana Tech to six NAIA national tournament appearances, including conference regular-season championships in 2017, 2022, and 2023 and the conference tournament title in 2017.

Prior to arriving in Butte, Solomon was the head coach for the Columbia College (S.C.). In five seasons, he rebuilt the Fighting Koalas’ program and turned out three straight winning campaigns from 2009-11. Solomon coached the SSAC Freshman of the Year, the AAC Libero and Setter of the Year, and many all-conference selections.

Solomon previously coached at Milligan College and earned his Master of Divinity from Emmanuel Christian Seminary, both located in Johnson City, Tenn.

He played collegiately as a setter at Hope International University in Fullerton, Calif. He led his team to a top-ten national ranking for three seasons and back-to-back National Christian College Athletic Association national championships in 2002 and 2003. Solomon also earned numerous individual awards including NCCAA All-AmericaĀ honors in 2003 and Hope International's Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year in 2004.

He and his wife, Lindsey, live in Butte with their children Cole, Khloe, and Logan.
