Argos drop Diggers

Butte – The Lady Diggers are still winless in Frontier Conference play, falling to the University of Great Falls Argos in three games 25-21, 25-23, 25-18. Tech could not overcome a tough Argos front line Friday night and fall to (0-8) in the conference and (7-14) overall. The Argos move to .500 in the Frontier Conference (4-4) and (19-5) overall.

Taylor Lucero and Kelsey VanUden were strong at the net, each pulling down ten kills. Lucero turned in an excellent performance with a 0.444 hitting efficiency and adding four digs. VanUden also had a good hitting efficiency with 0.263 and played tough defense with seven digs.

Sophomore Korey Krumm turned in a good performance for Tech. Krumm had six kills on the night and a 0.176 hitting efficiency. Still young in her career, Krumm is becoming stronger at the net.

The Diggers kept it close with the Argos and played tough defense. Kiara Ross, Kristin King and Allyse Cruise each had seven digs on the night.

The Lady Diggers are home again tomorrow at 2 PM when they will take on MSU-Northern.
