Butte – The Lady Diggers dominated at the net and dropped the University of Great Falls in four sets Friday night 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.
Montana Tech improves to 12-9 overall and 2-6 in the Frontier. The win breaks a six game losing streak for the Lady Diggers.
University of Great Falls drops to 13-11 and 5-5 in the conference.
The Argos took the first set, but that didn't slow the Lady Diggers drive. After a back and forth second game, Tech came out on top before the break. The last two sets were dominated by the Diggers for the victory.
Montana Tech out hit Great Falls 50-41. The Lady Diggers recorded 12 blocks as well.
Senior
Shersteen Cline led the team in kills with 21 on the night. She had a 0.375 hitting percentage.
Freshman
Sydney Norris had 11 kills and 10 digs.
Ennis native
Mikayla Sullivan had six kills on 0.308 hitting. She had four solo and two assisted blocks.
Sophomore
Korey Krumm had eight kills and four solo blocks.
Montana Tech is home again tomorrow night when they host the Carroll College Saints at 7 PM at the HPER Complex.
