Tech Falls Short Against Carroll

BUTTE – In a tightly fought battle by both teams, Carroll College slipped past the Lady Diggers in four sets 25-23, 21-25, 20-25, 21-25.

Montana Tech (15-8, 5-5) stays in the middle of the close Frontier Conference standings with Carroll and Westminster.

Carroll College (13-15, 5-5) gets a needed win to stay in the hunt of the competitive conference race.

The Lady Diggers took the first game, but couldn't quite overcome in the next three. Both teams were very close in kills with
Carroll edging Tech 57-53.

Korey Krumm led Tech with 13 kills and just one error hitting .286 in the match. She also had two blocks.

Haley Druyvestein and Sydney Norris each had 10 kills in the match.

Kimmy Kavran had 42 digs in the match coming one short of her record.

The Diggers are on the road next weekend traveling to University of Great Falls on Friday and MSU-Northern Saturday.
