GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The season has come to an end as the Lewis-Clark State Warriors downed the Lady Diggers 3-1 in the first round of the Frontier Conference Tournament.
Montana Tech (17-13, 7-9) was swept by LC-State during the season and couldn't muster a win on their third chance.
The Warriors advance to the semi-finals against Rocky Mountain College Saturday.
The Diggers took the first set with LC-State piling up 10 errors. The next two frames had the Diggers committing the errors
posting 13 and 10. L-C outhit Tech at the net 61-36 behind Niurka Toribio's 24 kills.
Korey Krumm led Tech with nine kills on .129 hitting.
Sydney Norris had eight kills in the match and
Annie Smoot had seven.
Kimmy Kavran led the defense with 24 digs.
