BUTTE – Montana Tech broke their three-game losing streak with a confident victory over the Western Bulldogs Thursday night. The final scores were 25-17, 25-22, 26-24.
Montana Tech (17-11, 7-8) has a one last chance to get to .500 in conference play this Saturday against Westminster.
Montana Western (9-21, 2-13) loses their third straight match.
Western took early leads in the second and third sets, but Tech rallied back.
Korey Krumm led the attack with 14 kills and no errors. The junior middle blocker hit .667 in the match.
Jordan Danz had 10 kills and just one error hitting for .450 on the night.
Sydney Norris had eight kills and seven digs.
Kimmy Kavran led the defensive effort with 22 digs.
The Westminster match Saturday starts at 2 p.m.
