Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – The University of Great Falls continued their winning streak taking down the Orediggers in four, 25-19, 15-25, 22-25, 23-25.
The Diggers drop their second straight match falling to 8-12 overall and 3-5 in the Frontier Conference.
The Argos continue to move up in the Frontier standings improving to 14-8 and 5-3 in conference.
The Argos started off slow committing almost half of their errors for the match in the first set. Tech took the first frame despite Great Falls leading 14-11 in kills.
Tech started to struggle in the second set as the Argos heated up. In the final two sets, Tech fought back holding leads in both but Great Falls continued to find a way.
The Argos out hit Tech 53-45 in the match.
Sophomore
Jordan Danz led the Diggers with 13 kills on .220 hitting. She added six digs and four blocks on the defensive side.
Senior
Annie Smoot was the only other Digger in double-digits adding 10 kills.
Redshirt freshman
Danika Neumann had 22 digs in the match from the libero position. Neumann was filling in for
Kimmy Kavran who was out sick.
Kelsee Montagna led the Argos with 15 kills on a .429 hitting percentage.
Montana Tech is on the road this Saturday when they travel to Havre to take on the Montana State Northern Lights.
