Box Score DILLON, Mont. – The Montana Tech volleyball squad ended a three-match skid with a 3-1 victory over Montana Western Thursday night. With the victory, the Diggers currently sit fifth in the Frontier Standings following a Westminster lost on Thursday.
Tech (10-15 overall, 5-8 Frontier) had 64 kills and committed just 14 errors on the night. The Diggers outhit the Bulldogs .242 to .180. Head coach
Brian Solomon's team had an offensive explosion with four Orediggers with double-figure kills. Senior
Korey Krumm had a team-high 19 while
Sydney Norris,
Bailie Cortner and
Jordan Danz all had 13. Norris and Danz both had a double-double on the night added 18 and 21 digs respectively on their stellar performance.
Setter
Makenzie Bauck continued her hot streak with a career-high 51 assists while
Kimmy Kavran registered a match-high32 digs.
Emily Erikson paced Montana Western (11-14 overall, 3-10 Frontier) with a match-high 20 digs to go along with 19 digs. Paige Latimer added 51 assists for the Bulldogs.
Tech faces Westminster in a crucial matchup Saturday, Nov. 7 in Salt Lake City Utah. The results of the match will determine fifth seed in next week's Frontier Conference Tournament in Butte. Match time is slated for 2 p.m.
