BUTTE— The Montana Tech Volleyball team defeated Frontier Conference foe MSU-Northern in straight sets 25-16, 25-21, 25-11 Thursday night.
The Diggers held huge leads in all three sets thanks to outhitting the Skylights .286 to .081 for the whole match. Montana Tech had 47 kills compared to 25 by MSU-Northern.
Sydney Norris had 20 kills and hit at a .459 clip on the night.
Jordan Danz added 10 kills and eight digs in the winning effort.
The three set sweep over Northern is the second against the Lights this season.
Montana Tech improves to 14-14 on the season and 5-6 in the Frontier Conference while Northern drops to 10-16 overall and 2-8 in conference.
The Diggers will conclude the regular season when they take on Montana Western this Saturday at 7 p.m. The Montana Tech seniors will be honored during the pre-game.
