Box Score FULLERTON, Calif. – Montana Tech ruled the final three sets defeating Hope International 3-1 for their second victory of their California nonconference run.
The Orediggers (12-7, 3-3) won their fourth straight match and fifth in six tries.
After a narrow 25-23 loss in the first set, the Orediggers finished strong 25-16, 25-18, 25-15.
The Orediggers hit .255 on the night and posted 17 aces.
Bailie Cortner had just one error with 15 kills and hitting .467 in the match. The conference leading blocker finished with a match-high 3.5 total blocks.
Jordan Danz had a double-double with 15 kills and 10 blocks. The senior outside hitter .286.
Katie Wiley had 11 kills and no errors hitting .524.
Makenzie Bauck had 52 assists and four aces.
Kierra Pearson led the Royals with 17 kills hitting .267.
Montana Tech finishes their road trip with two matches tomorrow. The Orediggers have a rematch against Vanguard University first and follow up with Life Pacific College.
