Box Score BELLEVUE, Neb. – Montana Tech fell to No. 25 Jamestown in their first match of the Bruin Labor Day Classic in Nebraska. Jamestown swept Tech in three sets 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.
The Orediggers (6-3) struggled to gain a foothold in the match and held the Tech frontline in check. The Jimmies (3-3) led in kills 43-25.
Tech's top three attackers of
Jordan Danz,
Bailie Cortner and
Nicole Peacock were held to just 15 total kills.
Freshman
Gena McMillan led the Orediggers with eight kills hitting .130 for the match.
Danz had six kills and Cortner had five each.
Morgan Hensch led the Jimmies with 12 kills hitting .500.
Montana Tech plays this evening at 6 p.m. against St. Francis (Ill.).
