Box Score 2 OREDIGGERS BATTLE BACK AGAINST PERU STATE
BELLEVUE, Neb. – Montana Tech battled from behind taking the final two sets defeating Peru State 17-25, 25-20, 28-30, 25-23, 15-13.
The Orediggers were aggressive at the net posting 71 kills and 22 blocks. Tech hit .244 as a team.
Four Orediggers hit double-digit kills including 18 a piece from senior
Bailie Cortner and freshman
Gena McMillan. Cortner impressed once again hitting .400 in the match and adding eight blocks. McMillan posted a double-double with 17 digs and had a match-high three aces.
Nicole Peacock had a season high 17 kills. The junior college transfer from Utah also had a double-double with 17 digs and four blocks.
Jordan Danz had 12 kills.
Makenzie Bauck had 57 assists and 11 digs. Bauck leads the conference in assists per set.
Kira Shapiro and Yorgelys Jaspe each had 17 kills for Peru State.

TECH DROPS FINALE IN NEBRASKA
BELLEVUE, Neb. – Oklahoma City Stars topped the Orediggers in five sets in the final match at the Bruin Labor Day Classic.
Montana Tech (8-4) won the second and third sets in convincing fashion, but dropped the final two 25-20, 18-25, 17-25, 25-19, 20-18.
Jordan Danz and
Gena McMillan had 12 kills apiece.
Katie Wiley had 10 kills hitting .364 in the match.
Stefani Nell posted 21 kills hitting .383 for Oklahoma City.
Mackenzie Bauck had 40 assists and 10 digs.
Sabrina Hopcroft had 20 digs.
Montana Tech is off next week. The Orediggers open the Frontier Conference season against Carroll College on Sept. 14
th in Butte.
