Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – The match took just three quick sets as No. 17 Montana Tech Orediggers sweep Lewis-Clark State Warriors in the home opener at Kelvin Sampson Court.
The Orediggers controlled all three sets winning each in convincing fashion 25-19, 25-18, 25-18.
Montana Tech had an impressive 0.348 hitting percentage and 42 kills. The Orediggers tallied 14 blocks to 7 by the Warriors.
Masha Korol led the attack with 11 kills on 21 swings and just two errors. The Ukrainian hit 0.429 in the match.
Sophomore
Gena McMillan had 10 kills and just one error on 13 tries for a 0.692. She added seven digs and a pair of blocks.
Angela Molesworth had eight kills hitting 0.263.
Natalie Batiste led the Warriors with 9 kills and a 0.444 hitting percentage.
Montana Tech continues their home stand next Thursday when they host Montana Western at 7 p.m.
