BUTTE— Montana Tech stopped Rocky from rallying to take the lead in the Frontier Conference standings. The Orediggers downed the Bears 23-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-23.
After leading much of the first set, the Orediggers couldn't stop a late Rocky rally falling in the first frame. But that would be the only rally the Orediggers let succeed winning the next three sets.

The Orediggers dominated at the net totaling 65 kills to just 37 from Rocky. Tech finished with a 0.219 team hitting percentage.
