Volleyball Finishes 0-4 at Columbia College Fall Classic

No. 3 Columbia College (26-2) hit an efficient .302 as a team to hand Tech (12-12) their third loss of the Columbia College Fall Classic 25-17, 25-21, 25-19.
Columbia led in kills 43-32 and committed just 14 hitting errors.

Karina Mickelson had a match-high 37 swings and posted 13 kills. She also had 13 errors and finished with a .108 hitting percentage.  

Masha Korol had eight kills and Heather Thompson chipped in 6. Thompson finished with no errors and a .500 hitting percentage.

Sabrina Hopcroft had 18 digs.

Hannah Liss and Courtney Bad Bear split setter duties for the fourth straight match. Liss had 11 and Bad Bear set 15.

Kiersten Anderson had 13 kills and just one error hitting for .545.

 

No. 21 Central Methodist (Mo.) def. No. 24 Montana Tech

Montana Tech (12-13) dropped their final match of the Columbia College Fall Class in a rematch against Central Methodist (Mo.) (22-3). The Oredigger defeated the Eagles at the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge in August and the favor was returned 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

Karina Mickelson turned in her second double-digit kill performance of the day with 16. She committed just 5 errors hitting for .289. Mickelson helped on the defense with a team-high 10 digs.

Masha Korol had eight kills and six digs.

The Orediggers had only two blocks to 10 from the Eagles. Central Methodist hit .276 as a team with 40 kills to 34 by the Diggers.

Montana Tech returns home hosting Montana State Northern this Thursday.
