SIOUX CITY, Iowa- The Orediggers lost their first match of pool play in the NAIA National Volleyball Championships at the Tyson Events Center to Concordia (Neb.) in four sets 25-16, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18.
Montana Tech, whose match against the No.15 Bulldogs didn't tip off until 10 p.m. local time, hit for a .156 clip while Concordia hit for an impressive .349 average.
The Orediggers were led in their attack by
Maureen Jessop who tallied 12 kills and
Karina Mickelson added 10.
Sabrina Hopcroft had 16 digs to lead the Orediggers defensively and
McKenna Kaelber had 37 assists.
The Bulldogs were led by Emmie Noyd who had 16 kills.
Montana Tech returns to action when they play No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan at 5 p.m. MST on Wednesday.
