Box Score FULLERTON, Calif.- Montana Tech dropped their first match of the season falling to Westmont College (CA) in the Hope International Summer Slam, 25-18, 25-22, 25-23.

The Diggers were led by Karina Mickelson and Maureen Jessop who each tallied 11 kills. Gena McMillan registered six kills for a Montana Tech team that hit just .098 at the net. Sabrina Hopcroft led the way defensively with 21 digs while Mickelson added 19.

Westmont struggled at the net as well hitting for just a .103 clip offensively.

Montana Tech falls to 2-1 overall and plays again at 7 P.M. to finish out the tournament. Montana Tech takes on Embry Riddle (AZ) in the nightcap.
