Box Score FULLERTON, Calif.- The Orediggers of Montana Tech finished up the Hope International Summer Slam with a victory defeating Embry-Riddle (AZ) in four sets, 25-16, 14-25, 25-18, 25-15.

The Diggers (3-1) capped off an impressive showing at the season opening tournament by hitting for a .196 mark at the net, registering 13 blocks, and holding Embry-Riddle to just a .081 hitting percentage. 

Montana Tech was led by a trio of players registering double-digit kills in Karina Mickelson (12), Maureen Jessop (11), and Gena McMillan (10). McKenna Kaelber picked up 39 assists while Sabrina Hopcroft registered a season-high 31 digs. 

The Orediggers will jump right back into action when they return to Butte this week as they host the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge August 22-24 at the Butte Civic Center. The Diggers play Northwest University at 5 P.M. on August 22nd.
