BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Tech volleyball team swept Montana State Northern for the second straight match this weekend winning 25-16, 25-12, 25-18.
The Orediggers (2-2) played strong on both sides of the ball hitting for .293 and notching 11 total team blocks. Tech led Northern in kills 35-24.
The Skylights hit for a -.022 in the match finished with 26 hitting errors.
Maureen Jessop led the Orediggers with 18 kills hitting .389.
Middle hitter
Taylor Henley had 6 kills on just 9 swings finishing with a .667 hitting percentage. She also had 4 blocks.
Sydney Parks had 4 kills and 4 blocks.
Kiya Loobey added 4 kills and 3 blocks.
Karina Mickelson had 7 kills.
Mckenna Kaelber finished the match with 26 assists.
Alana Graves led the Skylights with 10 kills and Rylee Burmester added 8.
Montana Tech is on the road next weekend when they travel to Great Falls and the University of Providence.
