BUTTE, Mont. – The No. 20 University of Providence held off Montana Tech in the final points to avoid the upset in five sets 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-10.
The Argos (13-2) grabbed the momentum at the end of the fifth finishing the match with two blocks to stop the Orediggers (6-9).
The Orediggers dominated the second and fourth sets hitting .405 in the fourth. Tech finished with a .209 hitting percentage.
The Argos led in kills 63-58 and finished hitting .175 in the match.
Karina Michelson had a season high 24 kills hitting .354 with 2 blocks.
Mo Jessop had 12 kills hitting .109 with 3 blocks and 14 digs.
Sydney Parks had 10 kills and 5 blocks hitting .474.
Taylor Henley had 9 kills and 9 blocks.
Mckenna Kaelber had 45 assists.
Sadie Lott led the Argos with 18 kills and Renae Davis added 17.
