Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech volleyball won their second match of the day at the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge hosted by the Butte Civic Center. The Orediggers downed Northwest University in three straight sets 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.
The Orediggers (6-1) finished the tournament 2-1.
Tech was strong at the net outhitting Northwest 38-25 and had 9.5 blocks to 5.
The Orediggers committed 21 hitting errors finishing with a .150 hitting percentage.
Middle
Taylor Henley led the team with 10 kills and had just 2 errors to finish with a .364 hitting percentage.
Maureen Jessop had 9 kills and just 1 error finishing with a .533 hitting percentage.
Olivia Muir had 7 kills and
Karina Mickelson finished with 5.
Sydney Parks led the team in blocks with 6 in the match.
McKenna Kaelber had 31 assists.
Sarah Hopcroft had 21 digs.
Abi Broussard had 13 kills in the match for Northwest. Anna Saelens had 24 assists.
Montana Tech is off next week before traveling to Bellevue, Nebraska for the Gosarpy.com Labor Day Classic hosted by Bellevue University.
