Montana Tech's comeback fell short falling to Montana State Northern in five sets 23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-15, 17-15.
The Orediggers (11-2) dropped the first two sets, but won the next two pushing the match to the fifth set. The Northern Lights pushed the final frame into overtime taking the final two points.
The Northern Lights (9-6) outhit the Orediggers 66-58. Tech finished hitting .187 and the Lights hit .159 for the match.
Elissa Lind had a match-high 18 kills for the Lights. Lind hit .214 in the match. Emily Feller had 55 assists.
Olivia Muir led the Orewdiggers with 17 kills hitting .204.
Taylor Henley had 13 kills and
Karina Mickelson had 11. Henley hit .346.
McKenna Kaelber had 46 assists.
Sarah Hopcroft finished with 37 digs.
