Box Score HELENA, Mont. – Montana Tech battled rival Carroll College pulling off a sweep on the road 25-20, 30-28, 25-23.
The Orediggers (13-4, 1-1) came from behind in the first frame scoring the final six points to win the first set. The Orediggers hit .231 in the first set.
In the second set, both teams traded points before the Orediggers outscored the Saint in extra points. Tech held off a late surge from Carroll to win the final set.
The Orediggers outhit the Saints 37-34 and finished with a team hitting percentage of .188.
The Saints (8-10, 1-1) finished with a .115 hitting percentage.
Olivia Muir led the Orediggers with 17 kills hitting .424 in the match.
Maureen Jessop and
Karina Mickelson had 9 kills each. Mickelson finished with a .280 hitting percentage.
Taylor Henley had 5 kills and
Sydney Parks added 4.
Lexi Mikkelsen led the Saints with 8 kills and a .353 hitting percentage.
