Box Score 2 BELLEVUE, Neb.- Montana Tech picked up a pair of wins to finish the GoSarpy.com Labor Day Tournament.
The No. 17 Diggers defeated Oklahoma City in four sets (25-22, 25-15, 24-26, 25-12) after hitting .313 at the net.Â
The Orediggers had three players finish with double-digit kills in
Maureen Jessop (15),
Karina Mickelson (13), and
Taylor Henley (11). Syndey parks led the Diggers in efficiency hitting for .571 at the net and tallying eight kills.Â
McKenna Kaelber had 46 assists to lead Montana Tech.
Karina Mickelson and
Sarah Hopcroft had 13 digs and 12 digs respectively.Â
In their second match of the day, Montana Tech defeated SAGUÂ in four sets (21-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-6).
The Orediggers were led again by Jessop and Mickelson who had 13 kills and 12 kills respectively.
McKenna Kaelber added 31 assists to her season total. The Orediggers hit for a .380 clip at the net.Â
Sarah Hopcroft had 16 digs and led the way with five service aces.Â
Montana Tech concluded the tournament at 3-1 and improved their season record to 9-2 overall.Â
Montana Tech is back in action in two weeks when they take part in a Frontier Conference nonconference event in Havre on September 17-18.Â
