WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech's
Maureen Jessop was named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week. The award is the second for Jessop of the 2022 season.
The Orediggers (7-5) went 4-0 at the Frontier/North Star Crossover hosted by MSU-Northern over the weekend. Tech swept three of their four matches against the North Star Conference teams.
Jessop, a senior outside hitter from Corvallis, Montana, averaged 4.77 kills per set with a .328 hitting percentage in the four matches. Jessop had 19 kills in two of the matches and finished the weekend with eight blocks. She also averaged 3.92 digs on the weekend.
Montana Tech travels to Billings for the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament this weekend. The Orediggers will face four conference opponents but the matches will not count in the conference standings. Tech starts with MSU-Northern at 9 a.m. on Friday at the Fortin Center hosted by Rocky Mountain College.
