The Oredigger golf teams will be on the course for their first tournament of fall, Monday, September 11^th and Tuesday the 12^th, as the host the Montana Tech Invitational at the Butte Country Club.

"I'm excited to get our season started this week, we've got a great crew of veterans and a really solid group of new faces that should add some firepower to out roster." Coach Sean Ryan.

The Orediggers are coming off a very successful 2022-23 season, with both programs finishing second in the regular season tournament last fall, as well as both teams receiving votes in the NAIA final national poll for fall golf.

Both programs return significant firepower from a year ago.The Oredigger women enter the season returning two All-Conference golfers, Emma Woods and Kodie Hoagland. The Oredigger men return four All-Conference golfers in Matt Hobbs, Gabe Witham, Joe Opitz and J.R. Small.

"This is about as deep a roster as we've ever had for both programs, anyone in our lineups could lead us depending on the round."

The roster is very deep for Coach Ryan, with 15 men, and also 15 women as they enter their first fall event.

Going into the first rounds on Monday, there were no clear cut 'top 5' for either the men or women. Coach Ryan said he planned on making those decisions after a practice round on Sunday.
