HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced the sixth edition of the 2024 Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference, with winners from Montana Tech, Providence, and Carroll
Attacker of the Week: Olivia LaBeau, Montana Tech
LaBeau, a senior middle blocker from Billings, Mont., was chosen as the Attacker of the Week.
LaBeau accumulated 26 kills in a pair of victories for Montana Tech. She tallied 11 kills in a sweep of Providence and added 15 kills in 3-1 win over No. 13 ranked Montana Western.
She averaged 3.7 kills per set for the Orediggers. She hit .400 in each match and collected nine blocks for the week (1.3 blocks per set).
This is her second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Setter of the Week: Bella Thompson, Providence
Thompson, a junior setter from Kapahulu, Oahu, was selected as the Setter of the Week.
Thompson accumulated a total of 87 set assists as the Argos split a pair of Frontier conference volleyball matches. She averaged 12.4 set assists per set.
She posted a double-double of 49 set assists (12.3 assists per set) and collected 14 digs (3.5 digs per set) in Providence's 3-1 victory over MSU-Northern. She also had 38 assists (12.7 assists per set) and nine digs (3.0 digs per set) in 3-0 setback to Montana Tech.
This is her seventh career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defender of the Week: Julia Carr, Carroll
Carr, a senior defensive specialist from Helena, Mont., was named as the Defender of the Week.
The libero finished with 66 digs on the week, averaging 8.3 digs per set for Carroll. Carr collected 37 digs (9.3 digs per set) in the Fighting Saints' 3-1 win over MSU-Northern. She followed up with 29 digs (7.3 digs per set), despite a 3-1 road setback at Rocky Mountain.
Carr added 13 set assists for the week (1.6 assist per set).
This is her eighth career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
