No. 24 volleyball sweeps MSU-Northern

BUTTE -- Montana Tech's 24th-ranked volleyball team played a near-flawless first set en route to a 25-11, 25-14, 25-20 sweep of MSU-Northern Saturday afternoon inside Valley Bank Arena.

The Orediggers put down nine kills without an attack error in the opening frame. Setter Rhys Layton led the way for Tech with 29 assists, six digs, and five blocks, while Halle Moomaw powered the offense with a team-high nine kills.
