Montana Tech Athletics

2014: Started in 27 matches. Became the all-time leader in career digs with 2,004. Named second team All-Conference. Ranked 2nd in the conference in total number of digs with 570. Ranked 1st in the Frontier and 16th nationally in digs per set at 5.7. Had season-high 42 digs against Westminster (11/8/14). Tallied 33 digs against top-ranked Rocky Mountain College (11/15/14). Registered double-digit digs in 26 of 27 matches played. Named to Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.  

2013: Started all 30 matches. Led conference and was ranked 4th in Division I with 658 digs. Averaged 5.9 digs per set. Season high 39 digs vs. MSU-Northern (10/26). Completed 21 aces. Selected first team All-Conference and Frontier Conference Libero of the Year. Named Academic All-Conference.

2012: Started all 29 matches. Led team and conference in total digs with 776 and ranked 10th nationally. Led nation in average digs per set with 6.93. Broke Montana Tech single game record for most digs with 43 vs. Westminster (9/15). Broke record for most digs in a season with 749. Recorded 21 service aces. Selected Frontier first team All-Conference , Libero of the Year and Freshman of the Year. Selected honorable mention AVCA Northwest Region and Freshman of the Year.

High School: As a three year varsity starter at Missoula Sentinel, Kavran achieved first team All-Conference and first team All-State her junior and senior years and was a member of Montana Volleyball Super-State Team. She was named academic All-State both years.  This past season, she was nominated for the Montana Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year. This past July, Kavran competed at the USAV Junior National Championships. 

Personal: Kimmy, the daughter of Tom and Shirley, is pursuing a degree in Occupation Health & Safety.
