HPER Facility Rules and Regulations
1. The use of tobacco products is not permitted on Montana Tech Campus
2. Abuse or unlawful use of drugs and alcohol is not permitted at campus events and activities
3. Food is not permitted in any of the exercise areas
4. Appropriate footwear must be worn whenever using any recreation area. Change into proper footwear prior to participation
5. Respect equipment and furniture
6. Bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, skateboards, roller blades/skates or similar items may not be brought into the facility
7. No pets are permitted in the facility except service animals
8. The HPER Complex is not responsible for items left in the building
9. Running is NOT permitted in the halls
10. Users under age sixteen must be accompanied by an adult
Weight Training & Conditioning Room Policies
The following rules have been developed to help ensure the safe use of the weight training and conditioning rooms
1. NO FOOD OR TOBACCO products are allowed in workout areas
2. Youth 14 to 16 years of age and at least 4’10” tall are permitted to use the weight training and condition rooms only with adult supervision
3. All free weight users must have at least one spotter
4. No squats outside of the racks
5. Collars must be used with any and all free weights
6. When finished with free weights and dumbbells, please return them to their proper place
7. Please use appropriate tone (no yelling, screaming, etc)
8. Refrain from using profanity
9. Do NOT remove equipment from designated areas
10. Every user must wear a footwear and clothing at all times. Open toed shoes are not permitted
11. Be courteous to others when using the equipment
12. Please wipe down equipment when you are done using it
13. Use exercise machines and equipment ONLY for their intended purpose
14. All users must remain a safe distance from mirrored walls. DO NOT TOUCH MIRRORS
15. DO NOT drop weights
