Biography
2016-17: Over 15 rounds Benson had a 72.5 scoring average with a low round in competition of 67. Benson also earned medalist honors in a tournament as a sophomore. His low three round tournament stroke total was 210.
2015-16: Benson had a 74.5 scoring average over 14 rounds in competition with a low round of 68. Individually, Benson won the MSU-B Yellowjacket Invitational as a freshmann.
College: Benson has been twice named a First Team All-Conference selection, was named Academic All-Conference as a sophomore. Benson has been Frontier Conference Player of the Week three times and was honored to the PING All-Region Team as a sophomore.
High School: Finished 1-over in the 2014 Montana State Boys AA Golf Tournament earning the individual title. Finished third in the state tournament junior year. Three-time All-State recipient and two-time Academic All-State honoree.
A member of the 2013 Junior America's Cup and Montana-Alberta Ryder Cup teams. Earned invitations to the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tour Tournament of Champions. Represented Montana at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship at PGF National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. in 2015.
