Biography
2024: Appeared in 29 matches as the team's primary option at right-side hitter ... Ranked fourth on the team in kills (177) and sixth in blocks (31) ... Put down a career-high 18 kills in an Oct. 24 win at MSU-Northern.
2023: Played in 28 matches with a stellar 58 kills in the season. She had a total of 186 attacks throughout the season and hit .091. Megan contributed 79 points to the Orediggers.
2022: Played in 20 matches with 16 kills in the season. Megan had a total of 65 attacks and hit .031 with a total of 26 points.
2021: Played in 11 matches with 12 kills in the season. She hit a solid .450 with only 3 errors all season, and ended the year with 13 points.
2020-21: Appeared in 15 matches in her first season with the program, totaling 47 kills and 21 blocks.
High School: Benton, a 5-foot-11 outside hitter from Billings, Mont., was first team all-conference and all-state for Billings West HS as a senior. Benton played every spot in the rotation for the Golden Bears helping them to an Eastern AA Conference championship. Benton averaged 2.37 kills per set and 2.39 digs per set. Benton was an academic all-state honoree two years and a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Megan, the daughter of Darren and Cara, is pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety & Health.
