2024: Remained the team's primary setter, playing 125 sets over all 32 matches ... Led the Frontier and ranked fifth in the NAIA with 1,345 assists ... Also tallied 217 digs, 68 blocks, 61 kills, and 33 aces ... Totaled 114 assists, 19 digs, seven kills and six blocks over two wins to claim NAIA setter of the week honors Oct. 29 ... Made a career-high 62 assists in an Oct. 24 win at MSU-Northern ... Dished out 50-plus assists in nine matches ... Served a season-best six aces in an Oct. 19 win vs. Carroll, also making 56 assists and 12 digs for one of six double-doubles on the season.

2023: Played in 30 matches or a total of 111 sets. She averaged 6.82 assists per set with 757 assists over the season. Layton contributed 51 individual points to the Orediggers. She was also voted Frontier Conference Setter of the Week three times and Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year.

High School: Layton, a 6-foot-2 setter from Eagle, Idaho, was second team all-conference and honorable mention all-state for Eagle High School as a senior. Layton joined the 1000-club her senior year with a total of 1019 assists, averaging 7.1 assists per set. Layton worked up over 180 digs and 77 kills in her time at Eagle High. She was also a four-time scholar athlete award winner and honor student.

Personal: Rhys, the daughter of Boyd and Catherine, is pursuing a degree in Business & Information Technology in the accounting track. She serves as the co-president of Montana Tech's SAAC and interns with the athletic department.
