Box Score HELENA — Andy Garland scored 17 points and Tony Dalton put in 11 as Carroll topped Montana Tech 66-58 Thursday night in a Frontier Conference college men's basketball game played in the Carroll College P.E. Center.
Chris McGrath tallied 12 points and Ben Cutler 10 as the Saints put four scorers in double figures.
Tyree Haynie of Montana Tech took game-scoring honors with 21 points.
Adam Greger finished with 12 points for the Orediggers.
“We lost both halves by four points,” Montana Tech head coach Aaron Woliczko said. “ Tonight our guys did a better job putting the ball in the basket, but turnovers hurt us. That was a real issue for us.
“We did a good job attacking their different zones and we made the extra pass. That hurt us, too, because some of those last passes ended up as turnovers.”
Carroll led 32-28 at halftime.
Greger led all boardmen with seven rebounds.
Montana Tech will play at Rocky Mountain in Billings on Saturday to end the regular season.
