GREAT FALLS — A great three-point defense performance combined with a breakout performance by the Three Amigas was enough for the Montana Tech Orediggers women's basketball team to record a key 69-64 Frontier Conference win over Great Falls University on Saturday night.
Great Falls (11-10, 1-6) was held to a 2-for-18 three-point shooting performance and Tech was led by the performances of Kelsey DeWit (20 points, eight rebounds), Mandy Machinal (19 points, five rebounds, five assists), and Danielle Devenny (17 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists).
Tech (11-8, 4-3) outrebounded their hosts 37-31 and shot 47 percent from the field to pull away for the win.
