Butte, Mont. – The Montana Tech Orediggers held off a late Westminster charge to upset the No. 7 Griffins 75-68.

No. 7 Westminster (13-3, 1-2) loses their second straight and goes winless on their road trip this week.
The Orediggers took the lead with five ticks left in the first half on an
Adam Greger jumper. Tech would lead the rest of the
game and grow their lead to as many as 14 with 4:18 to go in the second half.
Montana Tech led the battle under the net outrebounding Westminster 42-32.
Tech held Westminster to just 39.1-percent shooting from the field in the game.
Currently, Montana Tech is leading all Division I teams in three-point percentage and the same was true tonight. Tech hit 7 of 13 from beyond the arc for 53.0-percent. Tech shot 51.9-percent from the field.
Four Diggers had double-figure scoring.
Greger led all scorers with 17 points on 6 of 11 shooting. He was a perfect 3 for 3 from downtown. He also had seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Bryan Bock had 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Dan Simon had 13 points and six rebounds.
Brandon Rydberg hit two crucial free throws with less than 20 seconds to play in the game. He finished with 13 points and three rebounds.
Montana Tech is on the road the next two weeks. They start their road trip in Helena against Carroll College on Thursday.
