BUTTE – Montana Tech started a new quarterback at the helm and got back to winning Saturday afternoon. Freshman
Dawson Reardon debuted for the Orediggers and helped lead the team to a 34-14 win over Dickinson State.
Montana Tech (2-4) wins their second game of the season ending a four game losing streak.
Dickinson State (0-7, 1-7) has yet to find a win in the Frontier Conference this season.
Reardon completed 26 of 40 passes for 283 yards in his first start. He threw for one score and ran in two more.
Pat Hansen ran strong for 144 yards and two touchdowns after gaining valuable rest on the bye week.
Senior
James Roberts pulled down six catches for 116 yards and one touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Linebacker
Ryan Jones had six tackles on the day and intercepted a pass for a score.
Jake Workman had six tackles and two sacks.
Dickinson State almost got back into the game in the fourth quarter scoring twice on Kaler Ray touchdown passes to Wyatt
Mirich and JT Keith.
Montana Tech hosts Eastern Oregon next Saturday at Bob Green Field at Alumni Coliseum.
