Griffins Overpower Diggers in Second Half

The Orediggers season came to an end Saturday night falling to Westminster 75-57 in Salt Lake City.

Tech trailed by only five at half time, but a huge second half for Westminster sealed the victory.

The other first-round matchup will feature third-seeded MSU-Northern hosting Great Falls. Top-seeded Lewis-Clark State and second-seeded Montana Western have byes, but will host semifinals on Saturday.

Montana Tech was led by Bryan Bock with 14 points and Reid Baerlocher with 12 points on Saturday. Daniel Simon added 10 in the defeat.

The Diggers trailed just 30-25 at halftime and fell despite shooting 50 percent from the field and 50 percent on 3-pointers in the second half.
