Greger's Buzzer-Beater Caps Tech's Rally Over Portland Bible

Box Score LEWISTON, Idaho - The Montana Tech men's basketball team defeated Portland Bible College, 71-70 Friday night at the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge Invite. Portland Bible took a 70-68 lead after hitting both of their free throws leaving 2.2 seconds left on the clock. Following a Digger timeout called by head coach Patrick O'Herron, senior Adam Greger came off a screen and hit a three pointer from the top of the key at the end of regulation highlighting the Digger rally.

The Diggers, who trailed by as many as nine with 9:19 left in the second half, improve to 3-1 on the season while Portland Bible falls to 1-5.

Greger led the way for Tech with career-highs in points (35) and rebounds (16) for his third double-double in four games. Forward Paul Engstrom added 13 points and five boards in 17 minutes of action.

Bryce Land led the Wildcats with a team-high 32 points and eight assists.

The Diggers return to the hardwood Saturday when they take on College of Idaho at 4 p.m. for their second game of the tournament.
