Diggers Hold off Eagles

Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – The Eagles did not go quietly like last night. But the Tech men held out downing Northwest Indian College 80-73.

Montana Tech (7-5) wins their third straight and improves to 5-1 at home.

The Orediggers overcame 21 turnovers and late three pointers from the Eagles for the win. The Eagles trailed by as few as three points in the final two minutes.

Junior Paul Engstrom led the team with a career high 21 points and 12 rebounds. The double-double was Engstrom's fourth of the season. He went 8 of 9 from the
field and 1 of 1 from beyond the arc.

Adam Greger had 20 points shooting 7 of 15 from the field and 2 of 3 from three point.

Brandon Rydberg and Chase Haack had 10 points each. Haack also had nine rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals.  

Mike Schajang Jr. led the Eagles with 19 points.

Montana Tech's next game is December 21st on Kelvin Sampson Court when the Orediggers host Concordia University College of Alberta.
