SALT LAKE CITY-- Montana Tech went toe to toe with the #4 Westminster Griffins but a tough final ten minutes doomed the Lady Diggers who lost 60-44.
Montana Tech jumped out to an early 10-6 lead against Westminster but the lead would change eight times in the contest. The Lady Diggers trailed the Griffins 26-21 at the half.
Coach VanDyke's squad emerged strong from the intermission going on a 15-2 run. The large run to start in the second half had Westminster down by as many as eight.

Shayla Mack who hit 4 three pointers totaling 12 points on the night.
Hattie Thatcher continued to impress in her sophomore season scoring 9 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, dishing out 7 assists, and collecting 2 steals.
Montana Tech falls to 8-13 overall and 0-6 in the Frontier Conference. The Lady Diggers match up with UM-Western in Dillon this Saturday night at 5:30 PM.
