BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Oredigger women's basketball team played an exhibition game against Montana State Wednesday night. Despite the Division I opponent, the Orediggers had positive areas and gave the Bobcats a challenge early in the 79-51 loss.
Three pointers from
Kourtney Coverdell,
Shayla Mack and
Sammy McGree gave the Diggers a first quarter lead 15-11 at the first break. The Bobcats got their bearings and posted a 17-6 second quarter leading 28-21 at the break and held a steady lead through the rest of the contest.
McGree led the Diggers with 15 points.
Senior
Shayla Mack had 13 points against her former team. She hit 3 of 7 from beyond the arc and added six rebounds and a pair of steals on defense.
Hattie Thatcher had six points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Montana Tech hosts St. Thomas University Friday at the HPER Complex at 5:30 p.m.
