Martha Dembek and the Lady Orediggers came ready to play in the first half against #24 L-C State but struggled in the second half falling 67-58.
Dembek scored 16 points in the first half to lead Montana Tech into the locker room with a 33-27 lead. Dembek finished the contest with a team-high 21 points on 7 of 11 shooting and collected 8 caroms.
Montana Tech would struggle midway through the second half trailing by as many as 11 points. However a pair of
Hattie Thatcher triples would help pull Montana Tech back within striking distance. Thatcher finished the game with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Tanis Fuller scored a game-high 30 points for L-C State. Fuller was an efficient 12 for 19 from the floor and gathered 7 rebounds for Coach Brian Orr's squad.
Montana Tech falls to 0-10 in Frontier Conference play while L-C State improves to 5-5. The win snapped a three game skid for the Lady Warriors.
