BUTTE, Mont. - Diggers Defeat #4 Carroll College 19-10

The Orediggers defeated the Fighting Saints of Carroll College 19-10 in Butte.

The Digger defense came to play today as they held the Saints to 198 total yards and just 12 yards on the ground. Montana Tech forced four turnovers in the game.

The one-two punch of Nolan Saraceni and Zach Winfield out of the backfield combined for 133 yards on 23 carries for the Diggers. Saraceni found pay dirt from 37 yards out to notch the game up at 10-10 midway through the third quarter.

Quarterback Quinn McQueary completed 14 of his 20 attempts for 181 yards, while rushing for 75 yards. Wide receiver Alec Bray had five catches for 62 yards and
Mitchell Keaton caught three balls for 51 yards.

Kicker Matt Berg had a perfect outing today as he connected on field goals from 39, 46, 24, and 31 yards.

Leading the Diggers defensively was Tyler Gavlak who had 12 tackles and a sack.

Montana Tech heads to La Grande, Oregon next week to take on the Mountaineers at 2:00PM.
