Nolan Saraceni and the Orediggers lit up Blue Pony Stadium and Montana State Northern for a record offensive effort 63-16.
The Orediggers (6-1) posted a school record 679 yards of total offense and Saraceni carried the ball 17 time for 219 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Saraceni scored four of his five touchdowns in the first half. The senior running back scored from 67, 58 and 22 yards out in addition to two short runs.
Saraceni's five touchdowns ties records for touchdowns and points (30) in a game. He scored five touchdowns against Carroll College last season which tied running back Pat Hansen's mark.
Montana Tech led 56-10 in the first half and scoring 28 in both quarters.
Quinn McQueary had a career day with 414 yards passing completing 21 of 24 and two touchdowns. The mark was also a school record breaking Nick Bakers 395 yards passing in 2012. McQueary completed a 26-yard touchdown to running back
Zach Winfield and a 46-yard strike to
Dion Williams in the first quarter.
Williams finished the day with 3 catches for 127 yards. He also threw a 19-yard touchdown to
Mitchell Keeton on a reverse flea flicker in the first half.
Tech's defense gave up 151 yards rushing and just 368 yards to Montana State Northern (1-6) on the day. They recorded three sacks and eight tackles for a loss.
Linebacker Carter Meyers had a career high 12 tackles.
Joey Orrino also had a career high mark with 10 total tackles. The junior defensive lineman also had one tackle for a loss.

Brock Beede had two sacks and four total tackles.
Montana State Northern senior running back Zach McKinley had 113 yards rushing on the day on 22 attempts. Quarterback Caleb McLaren completed 12 of 27 for 171 yards and one touchdown.
The Orediggers are on the road again next weekend. Montana Tech travels to Billings for a second game against Rocky Mountain (4-4).
