BUTTE, Mont. – Strong hitting by the Oredigger propelled them past Lewis-Clark State in three sets 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.
Montana Tech (17-7, 5-3) wins their eighth straight match and hands Lewis-Clark State (7-12, 2-7) their seventh conference loss in a row. The Warriors last
conference victory was against Montana Tech at the beginning of the Frontier season.
The Orediggers led the Warriors 41-25 in kills. The third set was the largest margin outhitting the Warriors 17-5 in the final frame.
Jordan Danz hit .333 in the match leading both teams with 12 kills.
Katie Wiley and
Bailie Cortner had eight kills each. Wiley hit a season high .700 with just one error.
The Orediggers finished with 10 team blocks. Cortner led Tech posting three.
The conference leader in aces, Tech posted eight in the match led by
Angie Pancost with four.
Setter
Makenzie Bauck had 36 assists.
