BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech made quick work of Montana Western sweeping the Bulldogs 25-23, 25-22, 25-19.
No. 23 Orediggers (18-8, 6-3) stay one game behind No. 17 Carroll College and tied with Rocky Mountain in the Frontier Conference standings. There are just two matches left in the regular season.
This is the second sweep against the Bulldogs this year for the Orediggers.
Montana Tech had the advantage in kills 45-37 while hitting .248 as a team.
Sophomore
Katie Wiley led all attackers with 13 kills and a .429 hitting percentage.
Bailie Cortner had 10 kills hitting .444.
Jordan Danz and
Nicole Peacock each chipped in seven kills apiece.
Makenzie Bauck had 37 assists and a team high 10 digs.
Tessa Miller led the Bulldogs with 10 kills and a .368 hitting percentage.
Montana Tech hosts their final match of the season next Thursday against the University of Great Falls on Senior Night. The final match of the season is in Havre against
MSU-Northern on Saturday.
