BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech's seniors shined on their final home match and made it look easy against the University of Great Falls 25-16, 25-13, 25-13.
The Orediggers (19-8, 7-3) get their second straight victory and 10 out of the last 11 tries.
After dominating the first two sets, the Argos started gaining momentum in the third frame.
Montana Tech opened the third set by losing the first four points before Cortner got the Diggers back in the set. The senior middle hitting gave the Orediggers an 8-7 lead on two aces and a pair of points.
Montana Tech outhit Great Falls 42-23.
Seniors
Jordan Danz and
Bailie Cortner led the charge with 13 and 11 kills. Danz closed out the three set sweep with two kills including the final dagger on a return.
Danz finished with a .360 hitting percentage while Cortner finished with no errors and hit .600.
Junior
Nicole Peacock had 11 kills and just two errors hitting .563 on the night.
Senior
Makenzie Bauck had 31 assists and 4 digs.
Senior
Angie Pancost had three aces and five digs. She also served on 12 points including a run of seven in the third set.
Montana Tech is on the road for their final regular season game. The Orediggers head to Havre to take on the Montana State Northern Lights on Saturday afternoon.
