Butte, MT-- The Montana Tech Women's Basketball team improved to 4-0 on the young season defeating Northwest Indian College 98-24 on Kelvin Sampson Court Monday night.
The Orediggers shot 50 percent from the field and held NWIC to just 16 percent shooting in the victory.
Montana Tech was led in scoring by
Kourtney Coverdell who tallied 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Coverdell was an efficient 7-for-11 from the field and made five threes in the winning effort.
The Diggers also saw freshman
Shay Potter and senior
Martha Dembek score 18 and 16 points respectively.
Montana Tech out rebounded the Eagles 59-22 and snared 23 offensive rebounds.
The Orediggers will now hit the road and travel to Billings to play MSU-B on Friday night. That game will tip at 5:30 PM.
