BUTTE— The Montana Tech Orediggers defeated Salish Kootenai College 105-72 to wrap up preseason play on Tuesday night.
Montana Tech (6-3) earned their second straight win against the Bison and won their fourth home game of the young season.
The Diggers shot a 49.3 percent from the floor and outrebounded Salish Kootenai 56-28 in the victory.
Montana Tech received a stellar performance from sophomore
Lukas Vining who tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds. Vining was 7-for-12 from the floor in the victory.
Freshman
Dylan Pannabecker and junior
Sadiq Inuwa tallied 18 and 16 points respectively for the Diggers. Inuwa was 7-for-8 from the field and grabbed nine rebounds while Pannabecker was 6-for-9 shooting and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
The Diggers held SKC to 39.1 percent shooting but the Bison made 12 threes against the Tech defense.
Montana Tech will start Frontier Conference play when they host MSU-Northern on Thursday December 1
st. The Diggers will tip off against the Lights at 7:30 PM on Kelvin Sampson Court.
